Our Mission
The Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority (MCSWMA) is dedicated to effectively managing the materials produced in Marquette County. We prioritize a sustainable approach, extending the lifespan of the Marquette County Landfill while protecting the environment, ensuring the health and safety of our staff, licensed haulers, and the community. We actively advocate for partnerships with our constituent municipalities.

The MCSWMA is owned by the municipalities of Marquette County and is supervised by an appointed Board of Trustees. The Authority is led by an experienced Director who oversees the day-to-day operations. We are a team of professionals dedicated to providing Marquette County residents with comprehensive waste disposal and recycling services.

The employees at the location were praised for their exceptional customer service. Reviewer Everett Bateman mentioned that he was intimidated at first due to past experiences, but three staff members went out of their way to help him. Additionally, Reviewer Lee Fetterhoff noted that people were helpful, while Reviewer Clinton Sylvester simply mentioned that he enjoyed tipping the staff because of their friendly service.
